Abstract: The estimation of direction of arrival (DOA) of a moving user is one of the most basic functions in intelligent antenna array based modem mobile communication and radar systems. The accuracy of the estimation of DOA is critical in applications. In a practical system, no component or device is free from physical or electrical aberrations. DOA performance may be degraded or completely failed due to such errors. It is important and necessary to study how system errors may affect the DOA estimation.
