Abstract: Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) which reflects the total pollution load of waste water or industrial waste is considered to be one of the most important parameters in waste water and waste chemical treatment processes. However, the determination of COD is very difficult which needs at least 2 hours by the standard method. Therefore, the development of a simple, accurate, yet fast COD determination method is very significant for the environmental monitoring and control.
