Issue Date: 2006
Abstract: The world is transforming towards a global information era and the variety of Image Processing applications are emerging rapidly. The increasing usage of imaging systems in scientific, military, industrial, medical, and commercial environments, are some of the factors driving this expansion. Most of the imaging systems are imperfect and unavoidably introduce a certain degree of blur and random noise during the process of acquisition and transmission. Blind Image Restoration seeks to recover the true image by operating mathematically on the given degraded image without sufficient information about the blurring function.
