Abstract: The multi-faceted nature of war-fighting and emergency management has demanded that supporting systems be highly cohesive and yet loosely coupled. It calls for the systems to be efficiently integrated, interoperable and highly adaptable to the ever-changing operating landscape. With events unfolding at neck-breaking speed, commanders in these situations are constantly under siege by tremendous amount of information, some useful while others not, and the urgency to take decisive actions is always mounting. It would be a reprieve from such agony if there exists systems that could support decision making in a meaningful ways. This project focuses on two aspects of implementing an effective solution that attempts to address these issues.
