Abstract: Since the 1960s, extensive land reclamation works have taken place along the shallow coastal areas around Singapore. The reclaimed land is filled with granular material of high porosity with depths of 10 to 15m. This provides a potential for the sub-surface treatment, storage and recovery of advanced treated wastewater.
