Abstract: The intent of this report is to allow the reader has a clear idea and concept with the theory and technique applied on the Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB). So that, study and analyze the material behavior can be carried out more accurately and effectively. This technique are claimed to be simplest as compared to explosive loading and plate impact when test conducted under high strain rate.
