|Title:||Existence in a parallel universe.||Authors:||Siman, Farah.||Keywords:||DRNTU::Visual arts and music||Issue Date:||2009||Abstract:||The Chinese classical text I Ching has been revered as one of the most important books of ancient Chinese philosophy, wisdom and knowledge. It is centered on the ideas of the dynamic balance of opposites, the evolution of events as a process, and acceptance of the inevitability of change. The concepts and teachings of the I Ching form the basis of many chinese practices and culture. Its wealth of wisdom and knowledge has been applied widely from Traditional Chinese Medicine to Feng Shui. In this essay I seek to discover how this wealth of knowledge might also be applied to the field of graphic design.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10356/39603||Rights:||Nanyang Technological University||Fulltext Permission:||restricted||Fulltext Availability:||With Fulltext|
