Abstract: Portable devices such as laptops, netbooks and smartphones are becoming more and more popular these days. One of the most important features in these devices is their capability to connect to the Internet wirelessly. This project aims to increase the overall wireless network coverage by encouraging people to share their Internet connection. The people that share their connection will be given benefit to access other people’s Internet connection elsewhere. In this report, the current design and implementation of the system is documented. Various usage scenarios and how the reaction of the system to the scenarios is also given. The limitations of the current implementation and solutions are also proposed. Overall, it can be concluded that this project has been successfully implemented although there is still room for improvements.
