Abstract: An Ethernet module for a 32-bit micro-controller was designed and developed as a hard macro IP. The design is based on the standard of IEEE 802.3 carrier sense multiple access with collision detection (CSMA/CD) access method and physical layer specifications. It is compatible with the 32-bit micro-controller data bus system. The design consists of sub-blocks, for Media Access Control, Receive/Transmission data buffer, and Receive/Transmission DMA control.
