Title: | Shaman. | Authors: | Lam, Yaocheng. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Animation | Issue Date: | 2010 | Abstract: | The "Shaman" is a live action based public service announcement. The purpose of the public service announcement is to question the balance between mankind's modernization and climate change. In the past decade, many east Asian countries have developed economically at an astonishing pace at the expense of the earth's climate. The project is based around the character of a Shaman in his dance of modernity. In the past, shamans are often religious or highly respected figures in their communities. They often have to solve problems in their communities. In this project, the shaman tries to raise a city to satisfy the populous need for modernity. In a hurry to raise the city, no care was taken to ensure sustainability. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/40010 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
