Holography is an important form of 3D display technology. Its unique way of replicating 3D object accurately made it see application in biomedical imaging, security and also in the gaming industry. One type of Holography is Digital Holography, where the holograms used are the Computer Generated Holograms (CGH) and Spatial Light Modulators (SLM) are used to modulate light to reconstruct the 3D image. One of the challenges faced in CGH is the appearance of conjugate twin images and bright zero order diffraction which will distort the intended image. In digital holography, the amplitude and the phase are reconstructed from a hologram. By application of phase-shifting techniques, twin-images can be removed from the holographic display. This report summarizes my Final Year Project (FYP) experiences in Data Storage Institute in areas of research related to 3D holographic display. It covers mainly the related literature reviews and principles on various aspects of holography, concepts of twin-image and zero order in CGH, the experimental procedures and approaches to measure and characterize the setup based on Holoeye LC-R 768 reflective LCOS SLM for best phase-only readout, the reconstruction and testing of CGH images, and also my learning outcomes.en_US
