Abstract: In a new century of modern civilization, the global societies are advancing with enormous speed of development. The high pace movement had drawn great attention in challenges from resources management and impact on earth natural habitat. All possible areas and approaches are being explored, discussed to tackle and improve on the issue in any manner. Intelligent HDB lighting control introduced concept in managing the energy usage in major residential area in Singapore. The system will be implemented on low power consumption Zigbee wireless technology to control the existing lighting network without additional cable laying. Hardware and software control for the system are explored as well. A prototype is developed as a starting mark for the full scale development of the system in future. Challenges and further improvement on the system is discussed.
