Abstract: In this Final Year Project report, it will focus on the concept of region control of mobile robots. It is a control method, where a region is specified as the desired target instead of a point which is the case in conventional setpoint control. Two Boe-Bot mobile robots are implemented with the region control concept to perform control tasks autonomously. In the implementation, communication devices are used to provide data feedback. Each Boe-Bot robot is equipped with a Bluetooth module and a localizer, Stargazer. The Boe-Bot robots will also move by maintaining a minimum between themselves. As the region control method does not require specific orders or positions of the robots, it creates a scalable region where robots are able to move in and out of the region without affecting the robots movement. Finally, this report discusses some of the hardware limitation and recommendation.
