Abstract: With the rising demand in wireless broadband internet, it is predicted that there will be over two billion users globally by 2015. Without the constraint of cables, along with the convenience of mobility, more and more people are turning to this technology to do their business transactions. As a result, security for the network had become an important aspect in the usability of the technology. In this report, security issues for WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) are examined, research for solutions is being carried out and discussed in detail. Lastly, recommendations are made as a conclusion to this report.
