Abstract: The prevalence of wireless network access and the explosion of new multimedia applica-tions running across the network have made it a challenge to provide some form of Quality of Service(QoS)across the wireless network. This is reflected in the activity in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers(IEEE)to come out with the 802.11e. However, it will take a while before it becomes available for commercial deployment.
