Abstract: This project focuses its efforts on the creation of a tissue engineerede esophageal replacement for patients afflicted with esophageal cancer. The aim of this project is to develeop a decellularization process to produce decellularized matrix for esophageal tissue engineering applications. The research work was categorized into two sections: the development of a decellularization process and the various characterization of accecular scaffolds treated with the decellularization process developed.
