Title: | New multipurpose M13Ke phage display vector for screening and developing biosensors | Authors: | Fang, Yue Qin | Keywords: | DRNTU::Science::Chemistry::Biochemistry | Issue Date: | 2008 | Abstract: | We aim to engineer a multipurpose M13KE phage display vectors which contains an additional gene III for peptide or protein display to create biosensors for glucose blood sugar levels to help fight diabetes. A truncated gene III was cloned and a fragment containing a lac/tac promoter and the gene III signal peptide sequence was assembled using overlapping-extension polymerase chain reaction. The fragments were joined using PCR via their overlapping regions.
