Abstract: Designers commonly used 2D sketches to express their design concepts. It would be useful to directly generate the 3D model from such a sketch, and transmit this model to a CAD system for further processing. This work was proposed in NTU and a system has been deplyoed to reconstruct a freehand design sketch of a polyhedral object into the object in 3D.
