Abstract: This research work deals with the design of nonlinear coordinated controllers for power systems that incorporate FACTS devices. The main contributions lie in: 1) the simultaneous and coordinated use of at least two devices, i.e., the generator excitation and the externally connected FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) controllers for the enhancement of transient stability.
