Title: | Data communications in CVE based CASE tool | Authors: | Ngok, Denry Sang Ma. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Computer hardware, software and systems | Issue Date: | 2000 | Abstract: | This dissertation intends to investigate and examine the networking and data communication issues in order to generate guidelines to develop a data communication model used for the implementation of a Collaborative Virtual Environment (CVE) based CASE tool. Several existing CVE based systems and platforms are also studied for the same purpose. A basic system has been implemented which is based on the proposed data communication model. Tests are carried out on the implemented system in order to get the measurements of the network traffic under different workloads. The collected test data are analyzed in order to verify whether the proposed data communication model is suitable to develop the intended tool.
