Title: Seamless session mobility across heterogeneous networks
Authors: Sawale, Ashish.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Computer hardware, software and systems
Issue Date: 2005
Abstract: This research proposes a novel architecture that abstracts the application from the device. It enables a completely flexible mobility solution that allows migration of the session across networks and over different access devices. The architecture supports several different mobility functions. These include the basic functions for mobility across different networks with different devices to the hitherto un-addressed issue of session mobility in the absence of overlapped coverage. The proposal can work with the standard frameworks available in current infrastructures. Complex roaming agreements between the different providers are not required to support mobility.
