Abstract: This report presents a computer assisted language learning system utilizing hyper-text and multimedia like speech and video. The multimedia is indexed with orthographic transcription. Users can then playback a sentence, a word or even just a phone ( ) to learn how exactly it is been pronounced. It permits language learners to witness the dynamics of interaction as they observe the speakers in authentic settings speaking and using different accents, registers, and paralinguistic cues like posture, gestures.
