Abstract: This project presents a decoupling design of multivariable IMC-based PID controllers by feed-forward method, which can realize decoupling control for systems with time delay structure, and it is suitable for open-loop unstable or non-minimum phase system. Simulations have been done to investigate the response of the coupled water tanks when the parameters used in the IMC-based PID controller changed.
