Title: | Converting normal computer screens into 3D displays using parallax barriers | Authors: | Yang, Yang | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computing methodologies::Computer graphics | Issue Date: | 2011 | Abstract: | This goal of this project is to investigate an inexpensive method of converting regular 2D computer screens into a 3D display that does not require glasses. There is no hardware to be developed in this project. For none-software part, barriers were created for achieving 3D effect on normal computer screen. Typically barriers are parallel black lines printed on a transparency. For software part, a piece of code is written to generate interlaced style images for given left and right eye picture pairs. Depending on the needs, various kinds of images can be generated. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/44051 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Research Centres: | Centre for Multimedia and Network Technology | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
