Title: | The design and implementation of a web-based software tool for benchmarking collaborative editing algorithm | Authors: | Wang, Ye. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computer applications::Physical sciences and engineering | Issue Date: | 2011 | Abstract: | With a rapid development of today’s Internet, there has been an increasing demand for multi-user real-time collaborative systems. Numbers of researches have been conducted in order to find out comprehensive solutions for collaborative systems. Among them Operation Transformation (OT) Technique is an important approach to support real-time collaborative applications. Due to the complexity of operational context in OT, a testing tool is necessary to analyze and evaluate such kind of systems. A web-based application called OTXplorer (Operational Transformation eXplorer) was initially designed to meet the requirements. User can use OTXplorer to create OT testing scenarios, which are shown in the form of time-space diagrams (TSD) on the graphical interface. The specified TSD can be saved as an input script and then executed by server engine to get the test result. Server will return an output script of the test case, which will be interpreted and shown on TSD as well. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/44158 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Research Centres: | Parallel and Distributed Computing Centre | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
