Scientific research has proven that human can distinguish patterns from vast data when given the correct visualization. However, it is often difficult to create a realistic visualization. This notion motivated the author to create a 3D Data Visualization application. Primarily, the application will be used to visualize Earth’s spatial phenomenon, particularly earthquake activity. The developed 3D Visualization application will incorporate multi-touch capabilities to leverage on the new technology. Multi-touch gained popularity in many technology devices in the recent years as it provides the users with a more natural way to interact with computers.
