Abstract: The role of ports changes over the years in response to the market demand. The recent introduction of 4th generation ports stresses on the latest role that ports play. As a vital node in supply chain network, any disruption in ports will greatly affect the entire supply chain. With globalization, supply chain networks get more extensive and complicated, and hence the risks of disruption occurrence increase significantly.
