Title: | Entanglement transformation for pure bipartite systems. | Authors: | Wang, Shengtao. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Science::Physics | Issue Date: | 2011 | Abstract: | We studied entanglement transformation via Local Operations and Classical Communication (LOCC) as well as its behavior and properties under the Heisenberg XX model. The aim was to understand how the global time evolution affects entanglement transformation. Various dimensions of states were explored. In the 3 × 3 level system, it was found that the cross-over in conversion probability between two specific initial states was due to a re-ordering of the Schmidt coefficients. In 4 × 4 level system, we combined LOCC operation with the time evolution in order to obtain a maximally entangled state. we found that quantum catalyst may be useful in transforming some initial states to the maximally entangled state with LOCC operation and the Heisenberg Hamiltonian. This may be useful in experiments when LOCC and only a restricted set of global operations can be realized. However, the specific Hamiltonian depends on the system in study. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/44347 | Schools: | School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
