Abstract: Acting as the main shipping route between East and West, the Suez Canal is unfortunately overwhelmed by the increasing shipping traffic in recent years. However, with global warming, the melting of ice at the North could unveil a potential alternative route that may help ease the bottleneck at the Suez.
