Abstract: In this thesis, we present a comparative study among some of the existing major approaches for human face recognition problem b: (1) Principal Components Analysis (PCA), (2) Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), (3) hybrid approach of PCA and LDA, and (4) Mosaic approaches. After these studies, a combined approach using DCT (Discrete Cosine Transforms) and LDA was proposed.
