|Issue Date:||2011||Abstract:||The name of the animated short is Spycat and the Paper Chase. It is the very first final year project in ADM animation to have a fully voiced cast. Its core group members include Darren Lim, Derwin Silmaya Suhali, Fung Chun Hong and Soh Yu Xian. It blends 2D and 3D elements together with a neo-retro aesthetic. The animated short is also made in a form of a television pilot aimed at children at the age of 7-12. We drew a considerable amount of inspiration from James Bond movies of the past, creating a sort of a spy fiction movie in an animated cartoon format. The story is a about a fat cat Oreo. His owner Ashley thinks he is a stupid lazy cat. Little did she know that every night when she goes to bed, Oreo transforms into Spycat, a top secret international agent of F.E.L.I.N.E out to save the world once again! This time around all the paper products from all around the world are being stolen by the nefarious Captain Chico. This time around he will travel to Tokyo Japan, where he will stop Captain Chico’s plans before Ashley wakes up in the morning.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10356/44447||Rights:||Nanyang Technological University||Fulltext Permission:||restricted||Fulltext Availability:||With Fulltext|
