Allegiance.

Abstract

Allegiance is a dramatic short film produced by a student group, Surreel Pictures, for their Final Year Project. Surreel Pictures is made up of final year students Guo Wenxu, Ong Li Ling Danielle, Welyon Sutjipto and Tan Poh Mei, Pamy from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), Nanyang Technological University. This project was supervised by Mr. Kym Campbell and took approximately 12 months to complete. Allegiance weaves together two stories of friendship and brotherhood, focusing on the bonds of friendship between the men in the film.This report chronicles the journey of this final year project from

conceptualization to pre-production, to filming and post-production. It explains some

of the decisions that we made in the creation of our film, and reflects on our processes

of filmmaking as well.
