Abstract: This report presents the complete process of face recognition from theory to implementation and testing. The first part describes mathematical method Principal Component Analysis. PCA adaptation for face recognition, Eigenfaces method is presented in the next part. Its implementation and source code are described in detail with graphical representations and diagrams. The conducted experiments on its performance are given to prove its efficiency. Literature review in the last part presents the comparison of PCA and other method used for face recognition.
