Title: | The aesthetics | Authors: | Tan, Wendy Shan Wei. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music | Issue Date: | 2011 | Abstract: | At present day’s fast-paced societies, we are prone to engage with technologies in developing designs. The aesthetic artworks crafted via this final year project embrace captivating architectural sculptures derived from the concept of ‘Kirigami’—Japanese way of fabricating paper structures—by folding, in addition to cutting. Avoid radiation to the extent feasible as it poses a disastrous risk to health; though eliminating it is paradoxical. Meticulous research will be conducted on various ‘Kirigami’ techniques and its ancient roots before my endearing creations materialise illustriously. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/44690 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
