Abstract: In this Final Year Project, I worked with the issue that arise relating to the elderly and filial piety concept in modern society. Research was strongly emphasized by my supervisor and it resulted in better understanding of the topic. While exploring the causes and effects of change in people’s filial piety’s behaviour today, contrast comparison can be seen of what was understood once when the value was being formulated and now when lifestyle had showed its turn. Maintaining filial piety value is crucial in family relationship. The value also shapes one’s personality that firstly starts inside family, and finally to the real society. The fulfilment of basic responsibility could be one of good indicator of how a person would behave in the society. Re-establishing the filial piety is needed to help people to achieve a better quality of life. The research progressed to the next section, creating a project by applying the knowledge that had been collected in the previous section. Fun and entertaining approaches are taken in order to plant the old value to the contemporary society. Songs are created to make enjoyable moment that can be remembered by people. Songs could make interaction possible for audience to be able to sing along. Therefore, karaoke version of the songs was produced. Once the person experiences the message behind the story, it is expected that the person remembers and implements the good behaviour in his or her daily life. The project included creating creative books to create experience, stories in songs, composing music, karaoke version in flash, illustrations, and exploring typography.
