Issue Date: 2011
Abstract: The aim of the following project is to explore the possibility of transporting web packet over a Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) and developing an application that supports web access over DTN. Internet in today‟s world plays an important role of being in touch with other people around the world. People prefer to stay connected to the internet even on the go. While not every part of the world is connected to internet access points and some may have intermittent connection, transporting web packets over DTN could provide the necessary connectivity in such cases. Conventional transport layer used by Internet cannot support long delays and opportunistic connection which DTN is capable of supporting.
