Abstract: This report focuses on the design and CFD analysis and development of the outer aerodynamic body of the solar car for Nanyang technological University entry in world solar challenge 2011. Leveraging on the past development experience of Nanyang venture II and experiences in World Solar Challenge 2009, this report aims to create high performance aerodynamic body shell for Nanyang Venture 5 for World Solar Challenge 2011. Aerodynamic performance of solar car is one of the major key performance parameter for the efficiency of solar car. An aerodynamic efficient solar car can maintain a higher average speed, using more power for locomotion than spending excessive amount of it to move through the air.
