Abstract: This paper is concerned with race, race relations and interracial relationships in Yasmin Ahmad's films Sepet and Gubra. Both of these films attempt to represent race relations in Malaysia and illustrate the beauty of diversity in a multicultural nation. More than so, this paper questions Yasmin's success in promoting such positive race relations.
