Abstract: In past scientific studies focused on Monte Carlo simulations tissue models usually described as two layered. Later, tissue models became with three, six, and even nine sub-layers. Epidermis of skin tissues might be considered homogeneous and heterogeneous in terms of density, optical properties, and other parameters. For a past two semester, we had developed full cycle- method of relating different tissue model with heterogeneous tissue distribution to one with homogeneous. We had also investigated relationship between two types of tissue models and effect of optical properties on diffuse reflectance. With method developed, it is possible to determine homogeneous optical properties that generate same diffuse reflectance to heterogeneous same model. Once we had defined exact tissue model both with homogeneous and heterogeneous epidermal distribution, conducted Monte-Carlo Light Transport simulations to build array of diffuse reflectance corresponding to different scattering and abortion coefficient. Two different alignment of collecting fibres were set to obtain multiple diffuse reflectances depending on fibres position. After simulations were done, results were plotted in a graph and characterised with 9n and 10n polynomial. To relate diffuse reflectance to optical properties numerically, three different interpolation codes was developed to find single numerical solutions while relating different form of tissue models.
