Abstract: Non-destructive testing (NDT) is an important aspect in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul as it is the key factor to maintaining aircraft structural integrity. In the recent years, new technologies have been developed in the areas of NDT to enhance the quality, sensitivity or speed of the inspection. Conventional Radiography is the oldest technology of radiography testing. As of now, many major airlines and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) are replacing Conventional radiography with Computed Radiography. Therefore the use of both systems is carefully analysed in this project.
