It has been the practice in the industry to assess overseas investment risks based on measures such as intuition, insight or experience. The approach is rather subjective and the outcome of the evaluation can be rather unrealistic even at the hand of an experienced manager. Literature review of various methods available for risk evaluation also pointed to their rather one sided approach, i.e. either too subjective or too objective.en_US
