Title: Thermal control in biochip
Authors: Chua, Chin Lian.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Bioengineering
Issue Date: 2011
Abstract: There are extensive research and scientific journals in the aspect of integration of Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) into biochip. Miniaturization of biomedical and biochemical device speeds up and improve the performance of the reaction processes. In this project, the author aims to discuss about the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), emphasizing on the design and fabrication of the PCR prototype and the thermal homogeneity of the PCR prototype. Advantage of the PCR prototype include its high performance output in PCR, low cost of fabrication, repeatability of experimental results and the integration of the temperature controller into relevant applications.
