Title: Efficiency study of convex photovoltaics collectors
Authors: Ooi, Jit Hong.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering
Issue Date: 2011
Abstract: In this project, experiments on efficiency of and power generation of photovoltaic cells in convex configurations have been conducted. The objective of this project is to evaluate the performance of photovoltaic cell when it is in different configurations, i.e., convex cell with different curvatures. The experimental data obtained showed that efficiency and power generated is affected by the different convex configurations. It is inconclusive of the effect of temperature on the efficiency and power generated by the photovoltaic cell. From the experiments conducted, it is found that the photovoltaic cell with a convex curvature of K=19.0 has the best performance when compared with the other configurations, reaching efficiency of up to 10.01%
