Image retrieval using multidimensional features

Abstract

In this thesis we will focus our presentation in characterizing and matching images in s high dimentional feature space of image colour, texture and shape. This thesis developed several new techniques for integrating region-based and entire-image-based feature analysis to improve the relevance of the retrieved images and increase the flexibility of visual access for improved query formulation.
