The field of medical imaging has revolutionized the entire biomedical science community of this era especially in the field of cancer diagnostics. Advances in medical imaging have led to the progression of gradual adoption of supporting imaging systems in medical practice. Several imaging modalities have been proposed and contributed in this regard. Recently, optical imaging modalities which employ non ionizing radiations have proven to be a much valuable tool in cancer imaging. However, most of the optical imaging modalities are challenged with sufficient penetration depth.en_US
