Abstract: Recently, there has been great advancement in technology which overcomes the distance and space in worldwide. Global Positioning System (GPS), which was only used for military decades ago, has continuous improvements of how it becomes handy for civilian applications for outdoor location system. However, the performance is affected by the poor coverage of satellite for indoor purpose. Moreover, some applications require a high accuracy location system which has precision up to 1 centimetre. Accordingly, indoor location & tracking system is developed. Indoor location system has been developed recently with different kinds of technology approach. This project uses ultrasonic distance sensors to estimate the distance based on Time of Flight (TOF) method. To control the sensors, a complete development kit is employed along with a development environment. In object tracking system, the sensor tracks the predetermined object with aid from a servo motor installed. The proposed tracking system also estimates the distance of the object as it moves within the covered region. Inside the system, many techniques are proposed to accomplish the objective of different stages.. On the other hand, sensor limitations affect the performance of the system yet different solutions and techniques are implemented to reduce or eliminate the impact. Besides the tracking system, location information is also used to perform Digital Signal Processing (DSP) on the input audio signal. It requires different kinds of modules and peripherals to complete the function. Hence, CPU registers are configured to create communications among the modules within the development kit.
