Report on industrial attachment report with CNA China Co. Ltd (Beijing, China)

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to provide a brief understanding and documentation of the work done by the student during a 22 week attachment stint with CNA China Co. Ltd, located in Beijing, China. The student is part of an important project, the Hua Lian Supermarket Experimental Computer Vision Analysis System Project, which is a project handled by the Research & Development department of CNA China Co. Ltd. Its main scope is to develop a software and hardware system that will provide people counting, Computer Vision style, in a departmental store. In this paper, the main analysis and image processing portion will be introduced, and the learning curve, problems faced and results will be discussed.
