Abstract: This research project focuses on the modelling and recognition of three dimensional (3-D) objects for industrial applications. This is not simple tasks as the subject of mathematical modelling, image manipulation and complex computations have to be addressed. The key aim of this research project is to recognise 3-D objects, for real-time applications, primarily by stereo vision with the implementation of automatic camera calibration.
