Title: Assembly automation : with emphasis on multiple assembly
Authors: Lim, Lennie Enk Ng
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering
Issue Date: 1991
Abstract: Assembly costs usually account for a substantial proportion of the total manufacturing cost of a product. In the case of high-volume production, dedicated assembly machines have been successfully employed in a cost-effective way. For small and medium volume production, robotic assembly machines can provide the necessary flexibility but their speeds are unacceptably slow.
