dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of having speed limit on the expressway is to enhance safety and reduce speed related accidents which can be fatal to the road users. Selecting an appropriate speed limit for a stretch on the expressway is important in order to encourage compliance by the drivers. However, the setting of appropriate speed limit is usually a difficult task as drivers will often use their personal judgement according to the road conditions. Thus, there is a need to understand drivers' behaviour, attitude and the degree of compliance towards a posted speed limit on the expressway. | en_US |
